It all started when...

CENTER FOR FAMILY WHOLENESS began in 1996 when God gave us (Willie and Wilma Lee) a concept of ministry for families throughout the life cycle. Our dream was to work with families and churches through education and strengthening in all areas of ministry from parenting to dealing with aging parents.

Upon relocating to Houston, Texas they were invited to become a part of a coalition to develop a three “C” model: Church, Community, College. This Coalition would provide flu immunizations for elderly individuals who were underserved in the African-American community.

The journey begins in 2003 Wilma was invited to join a group of people in Chattanooga, Tennessee who were interested in strengthening families in their communities throughout the country. She was challenged to start a healthy marriage coalition in Houston, Texas, the fourth largest city in the United States. She accepted the challenge. The Center For Family Wholeness became one of the founding organizations for the Greater Houston Healthy Marriage Coalition, now a coalition of more than 100 organizations and a grantee organization of a five year grant of more than $100,000/per year.

Through The Center for Family Wholeness the Lees have provided marriage and family education throughout the United States, Toronto, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Madagascar, Mauritius, Burundi, Rwanda, Dominica.
